Golden Eaglet's Victory: Each Player Gets N2m Cash Reward From Jonathan

The Nigerian junior national team returned to Nigeria on Saturday November 9,2013 after winning the 15th series of the FIFA Under-17 World Cup which held in the United Arab Emirates....

They were hosted yesterday, Sunday November 10,2013 by President Jonathan in Aso rock and the Presidents large heart allegedly doled out N2m to each player as Appreciation.

CASH REWARD:

• Players: 2million naira each
• Chief Coach: 3million naira
• Assistants: 2.5million naira
• Team Doctor(s): 500 thousand naira
• Physiotherapist: 500 thousand naira
• Team Secrertary: 500 thousand naira
• Technical Officer: 300 thousand naira
• Team Coordinator: 300 thousand naira
• Media Officer: 300 thousand naira
• Curator: 300 thousand naira

The players and key members of the supporters club will equally be given national honours at a later date.
President Jonathan appealed to state and local governments as well as individual and corporate organisations to also honour the players.
