Mario Balotelli could miss AC Milan's Champions League clash with Barcelona next week as he struggles to overcome a thigh injury....
The 23-year-old sat out Italy's World Cup qualifying draw with Denmark last Friday after complaining of soreness in his leg.
Although Balotelli returned to score the equaliser against Armenia on Tuesday, he aggravated the "astus intermedius muscle injury to the right thigh", Milan confirmed on their official website.
The Serie A club revealed the striker will be "monitored over the coming days" and he is unlikely to be part of Saturday's league match against Udinese.
The Rossoneri host Barcelona in their Champions League group match next Tuesday and will face a nervous wait to determine whether Balotelli will be available.
