NATIONS CUP QUALIFIER: Only goals can save Eagles, says Etim

Former Eagles midfielder, Etim Esin has declared that the Eagles must score an early goal against Guinea in their crucial October 8 decider, otherwise they would be walking on a slippery path to the 2012 Africa Nations Cup to be jointly hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
Etim argued that an early goal will dissuade the Guinean from carry out their match plan of frustrating the Eagles.
“I have always been optimistic about the Super Eagles. But one thing I am particularly about is their ability to score more goals especially in the first half.“I believe that this is very vital for any team that knows what is at stake.
He added Guinea will be out to play a frustrating game knowing that the Eagles are somewhat slow starters.
“ Guinea are topping us in the group will come here with all confidence . So we just need to destabilize them with fast goals in the first half, if we don’t score in first half and get to second half it will be difficult for us. Also pray that the Gods soccer be in our favour,” said Etim
