Ajaccio boss Alex Dupont fired

Alex Dupont
Alex Dupont has been axed from his position as manager of French side Ajaccio, the club confirmed on Monday..

Dupont only joined Ajaccio from Brest this year, but was given his marching orders with L'Ours currently sitting just three points away from the relegation zone.
Ajaccio have managed just three wins in their last 15 games and management identified that Dupont is not the man to help the club rise above last season's 16th-place finish.
"I met with each player and I concluded that there is a clear breakdown between the team and the coach," Ajaccio president Alain Orsoni told the club's official website. "So I finally decided Alex Dupont will no longer be our trainer.
"The situation we have today is totally unacceptable. I am particularly worried by the state of mind of the team, I cannot find the values from which we have traditionally derived our strength.
"I do not sense solidarity, selflessness, commitment and readiness to fight. Those are crucial qualities if we want to stay in the top division."
It is believed Ajaccio will look to replace Dupont immediately.
