Why leaving Man Utd Rooney? - Vidic asks

Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has told want-away striker Wayne Rooney “there’s no point” in leaving Manchester United....

Rooney has been at the central figure in one to the biggest transfer sagas of the summer, with Premier League rivals Chelsea promising to chase the 27-year-old until the end of the transfer window.
The Blues have been encouraged in their pursuit of the England striker with Rooney rumoured to be close to submitting a transfer request to realise the move to London.
But United have stood firm in their stance in holding onto their player.
And Serbia international Vidic believes it would be a mistake to leave “the best club in the world”.
“I believe Man United is the biggest club in the world and I think there's no point to go anywhere,” Vidic said.
“There's so much speculation, so much talk about whether he'll leave or stay. He's at the best club in the world.
“I have to say the last four years I was in that position as well. People were talking about me leaving the club.
“I'm still here and I'm enjoying playing for this club. Nothing has changed.”
