Cavani has been the toast of many clubs with the likes of Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain all courting the player for his signature,but the huge transfer fee has been the snarl,why a deal hasn’t been done yet.
But De Laurentiis revealed that Cavani could end up at Chelsea,as the London club are ready to meet the demands required to sign the player.
“There is interest from Chelsea in Cavani, they’ll call me in the next few hours,” he said
“If Cavani is sold then I’ll reinvest all of the ￡53.5million of his release clause.”
“I’ll be delighted if he stays, but if he leaves then he will be adequately replaced.”
There are reports that new Napoli manager,Rafa Benitez,could equally request that a player be added in the deal.
