Spanish journalist Kike Marin, has offered an explanation, as to why Arsenal have not completed the signing of Gonzalo Higuain from Real Madrid....
According to him, the Argentine frontman is now Arsene Wenger's third choice in the transfer market. The Gunners have tied up a deal with the Spanish clubs and agreed terms with Higuain, but Wenger is reluctant to seal the deal as he is eyeing other targets.
The Frenchman has sent in a £20million bid for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney and is still exploring the possibility of signing Stevan Jovetic from Fiorentina, or even Christian Benteke from Aston Villa.
Other sources however claim that although Rooney is top priority, Wenger wants to pair the United man with Higuain.
