Manchester United Must Win The Title - Beckham Claims

MLS
David Beckham has tipped Manchester United to win the Premier League next season, even though he believes manager David Moyes will face tough challenges in his first season in charge....

United midfield legend Beckham told Sky Sports he thought former Everton boss Moyes, who succeeded Sir Alex Ferguson in the summer, would be able to see off threats including the returning Jose Mourinho and Chelsea.
He said he was sure the manager - who saw his United career begin with defeat to Singha All Stars in Bangkok - "has had lot of mentoring: he is one of those managers that has always picked up the phone and spoken to Sir Alex".
And he added: "It was always going to be difficult job for whoever succeeded Sir Alex because of what he has brought to Manchester United, what he has brought to the game. But the same players are there, and I'm sure a few more will be added over the next few weeks.
"It's going to be interesting this year, as there have been so many changes throughout the Premier League. Jose is back, and that's exciting - but I still think United will win the league."
Beckham he said he hoped United's line-up would still include Wayne Rooney, despite the England international having been linked with a move from Old Trafford and told he will not be first choice to play as a striker.
"I hope Wayne stays, because he is such a talented player and I see him as a Manchester United player," he said.
"Obviously, that'll be his decision and his decision only. As a Man United fan, I want to see the best players at the club, and I hope he stays."
He said the moves of his ex-United colleagues Ryan Giggs and Phil Neville onto the Old Trafford coaching staff would boost the club.
"So many of the young players respect them and look up to them," he explained. "It's important to have that."
