Rooney Is Not For Sale - Moyes Insist

Premier League
David Moyes has again insisted that Manchester United will not sell Wayne Rooney and said he expects the striker to return to the team in a fortnight....

New manager Moyes has been adamant that he will not let the unsettled striker leave, and United have rejected a bid from Chelsea.
Although Rooney flew home from United's pre-season tour of Asia and Australia with a hamstring injury, Moyes hopes the England international will make a first appearance of his reign in the friendly against AIK Solna on August 6.
"We have said and the club have said he is not for sale,'' Moyes said after watching his side lose 3-2 to Yokohama F Marinos. "That has not changed. I do expect Wayne to be in Stockholm. As far as I know, he is coming.
"He has started light jogging, and the feedback from the physios is that he is progressing - so hopefully those dates will still be right when we get back."
Rooney’s future has been the subject of speculation since the final few weeks of last season, when Sir Alex Ferguson left him on the bench for the Champions League second-leg game against Real Madrid and then said he had asked for a move.
The 27-year-old, who played for Moyes at Everton before his 2004 transfer to United, was pictured playing golf near Chelsea’s training ground at the weekend.
