Chelsea have tabled a bid for
Internacional forward Oscar,
according to the player's agent.
- Chelsea Schurrle bid rejected
Oscar, 20, has long been tipped
for a move to Europe, with
Tottenham thought to be
leading the race for his
signature. But it appears that
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas
could be beaten to the punch
by his former paymasters.
Indeed, ESPN understands that
the Portuguese coach's No. 1
target is Porto midfielder Joao
Moutinho, amid suggestions
Real Madrid are in talks over the
signing of Luka Modric.
"Chelsea did offer €25 million,
but there is still no agreement
between the clubs, that may
happen in the next few days,"
Carlos Meinberg Neto told Terra.
"Giuliano Bertolucci (Oscar's
other agent) will travel to
England to finalise the
remaining details."
Spurs are not, however, out of
the hunt according to Neto:
"Tottenham also made an offer,
but he should accept Chelsea's
offer as there is more exposure
there."
The Brazilian playmaker is all set
to showcase his talents in
London this summer after
being named in Brazil's Olympic
squad.
