Raul has taken just one match to open his goalscoring account for Al Sadd, scoring a penalty against Al-Mesaimeer on Satuday.
The former Spain captain moved to the Qatari outfit this summer after a successful two-year spell at Schalke, where he led the side to the Champions League semi-finals in 2010-11..
Al Sadd had gone ahead in the 16th minute courtesy of a Nadir Belhadj strike, and it was not until the last minute of regular time when the referee pointed to the spot and hand Raul a golden goal-scoring opportunity.
The legendary No.7, who is currently the top scorer in Uefa competitions, also took on the role of captain after Abdulla Koni was substituted.
The result sees Al Sadd advance to the semi finals of the Sheikh Jassem Cup, where they will face current holders Al-Arabi.
