Barcelona have handed Jordi Alba extended leave until the middle of next week, after he returned from international duty for Spain.
The full-back played a significant role in both the senior side, who emerged victorious at Euro 2012, and the U-23 team, who crashed out of the Olympic Games at the group stage.
Alba touched down in Barcelona yesterday, but new boss Tito Vilanova has given the 23-year-old permission to rest until August 8 after his summer exertions.
Barcelona continue their pre-season preparation against Paris Saint-Germain on August 4.
